pb tiger skirt Pink & Black Tiger Skirt
A pleated skirt I made from pink tiger print fur and black linen. The 2 back pockets have zip teeth around their edges and each of the belt loops has a small D-ring decoration. The tiger print is inside the pleats. The paw print on the back pocket was drawn in Adobe Illustrator and applied to the fabric with transfer paper, the image on the front was transferred in the same way but was drawn in Photoshop. The original image is Jumping Cat and can be viewed in the Furries gallery.
Summer Dress
Summer Dress 2008
This was my final project for my first year of TAFE. It spanned across design, pattern and machine class and is made to fit. It is based on wa and qi lolita styles borrowing inspiration from kimono and cheongsam. It fastens in the back with an invisible zip and 2 hook+eye on the collar. Originally front and back were going to be the same length but I like the look of a longer back. The petticoat is a full circle skirt with elastic waistband and the crinoline I made in my spare time, the edges of the organza are all finished with bias-binding in blue and purple. It was made from a 1/2 rather than full circle as the skirt comes out too much otherwise.
BW Layered Lace Skirt
BW Layered Lace Skirt
This skirt uses 5 different sorts of lace, has 3 tiers with 6 layers of black tulle and white organza, each finished with a lace trim. I used a 1/2 circle skirt pattern (made to fit) so there is only one seam in the back which I sewed as a French seam to avoid any messy looking overlocking.
The waistband is lycra with elastic in the top and the ribbon detain on the front is sewn on.
lace handsocks
Lace Handsocks
A pair of handsocks I made from scraps to go with the above skirt.
They are made from 2 types of lace and some cotton non-stretch fabric. The ribbon decoration was hand sewn on.
lace kitten
Lace Kitten
An outfit including my Lace Handsocks, BW Lace Skirt, White Lace Headband, Leopard Ears, Lace Kitty Collar and Under Bust Corset. The other pieces to this outfit were all storebought.
It was worn to Supanova 2009 on the Sunday. It got a lot more photos than I had anticipated.

Midori Destination - Co-ordinates
Midori Destination - Co-Ordinates
The clothing part of my studio process design. Made from a pure cotton green/purple fabric, polyester cotton suiting, fuseable interfacing and polyester ribbon. The inner waistband and inner collar are lined with the green. The front of the top fastens with a coat zip on the lower portion and lacing on the upper. The pants have an invisible zip in the centre front. There is elastic around the cuff to accentuate the frill.

Summer Sunshine Dress
Summer Sunshine Dress
The dress from my childrens wear assignment. The fabric is 100% cotton and the ribbon and lace are both 100% polyester. The print on the bodics is of butterflies and ladybirds. The dress fastens at the back with an invisible zip. The project also features a swing tag, which is hanging from the coat hanger in these images as well as the pattern and a specification sheet which features fabric samples and a sketch.

Reaper Hoodie
Reaper Hoodie
This hoodie was for my knitwear pattern making project at TAFE. We had to draft the pattern, make a specification sheet and then construct the garment. Mine is a hoodie, the hood is pointed and has a coin at the end. The hood lining and waist tie are polyester fleece and the skull print fabric is a cotton/polyester jersey knit. It fastens with an open-ended coat zip and is incredibly comfortable to wear.
Sorry these photos look a little emo.

Double-Breasted Ragln Trench
Double Breasted Raglan Trench Coat
This was a pattern making exercize for TAFE. We only had to do a calico toile but I liked the design (we all drafted the same design) so I decided to make it in fabric.
The fabric is wool, the under collar and pocket bags are silk and the buttons are plastic. It was drafted from an Australian size 12 block.

Tartan Bustier
Tartan Bustier
This was my final fittings project for TAFE
. It is a bustier fitted to me, made from cotton drill, stiffened linnen, tartan, fuseable interfacing, spiral and flat steel boning and bias binding on the top and botton edge. The eyelets are red and were inserted at Button Mania on Swanston St. The laces are polyester boot laces. The hoop i the centre is metal and held by cotton straps.
Red and Gold Hair-Pins
Red & Gold Hair-Sticks
I made these hair sticks by sanding down two wooden sticks, painting and sealing them, wrapping the ribbon and gold string around with some craft glue, sewing the bell and the coin to the tassle and then joining that onto the ribbon with some beads.

Lace-up Hand-socks
Lace-Up Hand Socks
Hand-socks were made with purple cotton fabric, layers of lace and they lace up at the wrist with thin pink ribbon.

butterfly kitty bonnet
Butterfly Kitty Bonnet
Made from purple cotton, butterfly print quilting fabric and layers of lace with ribbon bows and bells at the ears. There is also some beading and it ties under the chin with a big bow.

Maneki Neko Choker
Maneki Neko Choker
I made this from the left over fabric from a TAFE project and a little maneki neko bell which used to hang off my phone. Its original string broke off  so I attached it to this red tassle and made it into a collar/choker with a coin. It's also fully interfaced with a light-weight woven fusing.

Draped Dress
Draping Dress Project
My final project from draping class, first semester 2009. It is 2 pieces and uses around 3 meters of fabric. 1 froont, 1 back and 4 seams. Everything is folded, tucked and sewn into place. I made a small ribbon flower for the front and attached a small chain to the back. It took around 3 weeks to construct.
