Scruffy Suit Puss Scruffy Suit Puss:
He has real scruffy hair and he's wearing a suit. Like one of those work experience kids trying to make a good impression but their suit is just a little too big.
Sing Me Out the Window Sing Me Out the Window:
Based on a piece of music by the same title. It was a \ctualy a sketch for one of my final pieces in studio arts for year 12. I actualy liked the sketches better than the final product for my second piece. That sucks.
Song Cat Song Cat:
Same series of sketches as Sing Me Out the Window. Except with better shading and no wall or vines. I like this one a lot actually. Well... It is one of the sketches I liked more than the finished work. God. If I ever decide to get it back I might post it to show you how much I hate it. How very much it sucks. So bad.
Lanky Cat Lanky Cat:
He's a sex machine! Suprisingly enough he came from the sketches from my first artwork from year 12 studio art. His style is more like the second piece but you know how it is. Whoa... from buff kitty boys to lanky cats. What's with that? I just don't know. I must have been testing new styles or some shit.
Am I turning in to Louis Wain with all these cats?
Suited Cat Suited Cat:
I drew this one in my own time at school with the red and black pens I used for writing but since he was topical I snuck him into my folio. Oh how cunning I am! He's so hot right now. I like the shoes best. There's just something about them.
Formal Suit Cat Formal Suit Cat:
Suited Cat became the idea for this cat which is one of the sketches from my first final piece in year 12 studio arts. The first piece was a series of three cats in different suits. This one is the traditional formal sort of top-hat and cane Carlie Chaplin look-a-like but without the moustache.
Tail Suit Cat Tail Suit Cat:
The second piece in the series of three. Tail suits are pretty hot. He's leaning over a little bit, I like to think that he's smelling some flowers in a garden or something, because rich people can do that. Unlike you.
Zoot Suit Cat Zoot Suit Cat:
Zoot-suit riot, riot! Totally my favouritest cat ever. A cool cat as it were. I think I need to take a cold shower! It's the hat, it's the chains, it's everything you ever wanted it to be.
Who's your daddy? Yes I am!
meet@novotel meet@novotel:
I went with my parents to a thingy on investing last night and there were notepads with pens everywhere. I got bored and drew a cat on one the way I used to to keep myself awake during english. Just for the record; I got an award for english at the end of the year.
Wolf for Raye Wolf for Raye:
I painted a wolfie portrait for Raye for her 18th. Proper canvas with a medium grain and proper gouache paints. Holy heck, I do most everything in big-ass cheapo sketchbooks and the paintiest I generally get is watercolour pencils. Hardcore paint and canvas. Even I can lash out sometimes. Happy birthday for Raye.
Gone Shoppin' Gone Shoppin':
Based on a true story;
Potetoes and I were out looking at the nerd shops in Box Hill and in one of them the store keeper was lecturing some lady about Astro Boy, they had obviously been there for a while, the lady hardly spoke and the storekeep wouldn't shut up. We were in there for a good 15-20mins and when we left 'Tetoes said "I'll bet she went in there 5 hours ago and asked if he had Astro Boy comics."
The moral to this story is: Don't talk to nerds. Ever.
Less Talk More Naked Less Talk More Naked:
The original cat-story has been comiced for you by me. Originally it was an animation I did for school meadia... yeah 11 I think. I don't have the animation anymore but I do have the script and story board so here I am fulfilling the promise I think I made on dA that I would explain why Lady-cat is always naked. The title of the piece and the writing on the note in the piece are both plays on phrases I've heard.
Enemy of the Cat Enemy of the Cat:
The reason cat's don't get much work done is because when faced with a computer they get an unescapable compulsion to sit on the keyboard. Nobody knows why but they do and there isn't anything you can do about it.
Right now ballpoint pens rawk my world like nothing else. And it's good to draw with the likes of Venetain Snares in the background, makes the scribble-shading more erratic. Like the music. Also if I was actually on drugs less would get done than when sitting on the keyboard.
99 Luft Ballons 99 Luft Ballons:
Based on the song... Or at least, based on a techno (possibly DDR) version of the song, sung (badly) in english. And it's the cats flying the balloons. If everything I did made sense you wouldn't like me as much.
Gone Clubbing Gone Clubbing:
Because when Lady-cat takes drugs, goes home with strangers and wakes up in bed with no recollection on how she got there, she isn't naked. She's fully clothed. They'd probably be as shocked as she is if they woke up.
It just seemed like it was about time I did something witty about her nakedness.
It isn't that people don't notice that she's naked, it's just that nobody cares when cats are naked.
